what industries is this elbow adapter actually built for? seen a lot of generic stuff out there and trying to figure out if this one's meant for serious use

Eaton Aeroquip built this for some pretty demanding environments. Listed applications include marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and offshore drilling. Those aren't light-duty categories, so if your operation falls into any of those, you're looking at hardware that was specified with those conditions in mind.
