Straight adapter that joins two 1/4-18 female NPT connections. It is a Danfoss/Eaton 2096 series internal pipe to internal pipe style, so it is meant for a straight-through female NPT to female NPT hookup.

what applications is this adapter actually rated for? trying to figure out if it'll work on a grease system we got running out in the shop

Grease systems are right in its wheelhouse. Eaton Aeroquip lists this one for grease, instrumentation lines, and most hydraulic systems, so a standard shop grease setup should be no trouble at all.
