got a little gauge setup with 1/8-27 npt on both sides. is this the straight female-to-female piece for that?

Straight adapter meant to join two 1/8-27 female NPT connections. It’s an Eaton Aeroquip 2096 Series steel adapter with NPTF internal pipe threads on both ends.

Got a grease fitting on a small hydraulic unit that needs a female-to-female 1/8 NPT connection. This the right part for that?

Grease lines and small hydraulic instrumentation setups are right in the wheelhouse for this adapter. It's a straight 1/8-27 female NPT on both ends, steel construction, from Eaton Aeroquip's 2096 series. As long as your fitting on both sides is 1/8-27 NPT female and you need a straight inline connection, this one fits the bill.
