got a 1-inch female NPT port on my manifold and need to tie into a 3/4 female NPT line, is this the adapter that bridges those two sizes?

Yeah, that's exactly what this one does. One end is a 1-11/2 female NPT swivel and the other is a 3/4-14 female NPT, so it steps down from the larger inch thread to the smaller three-quarter. The swivel end gives you a little flexibility when you're lining things up during install, which helps a lot when the ports aren't perfectly aligned right out of the gate.

got a 1-11-1/2 female npt swivel on one side and need to step down to 3/4-14 female npt on the other, is that what this adapter does

Built for joining two different NPT female thread sizes, it connects a 1-11-1/2 female NPT swivel end to a 3/4-14 female NPT end in a straight, pipe to pipe setup.
