Trying to replace a union I’ve got on hand, are both ends on this one 3/4-16 female JIC swivel?
Question by: Judy H on Oct 18, 2025, 6:33 PM
Both sides are 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare swivels, and it’s a straight swivel union. It’s meant to join two matching JIC male flare ends with that same 3/4-16 thread.

both ends on this thing are 3/4-16 female JIC, so it's basically just joining two female JIC lines together in a straight run, right?
Question by: Eddie M on Aug 2, 2025, 11:51 AM
That's what it does. Both ends are 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel, so you're connecting two male JIC fittings or hose ends in a straight line. The swivel on each end lets you rotate the fitting during assembly without twisting the lines, which makes it a whole lot easier to get a clean, leak-free connection without fighting the hose.
