got a hose end that’s metric M12 x 1.5 female with that 24 degree seat. Will this adapter get me over to a 7/16-20 JIC male?

That's what it does. One end is M12 x 1.5 female metric with a 24 degree seat per DIN 3901/3902, and the other end is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. Straight configuration, no angle to it. Comes from Eaton Aeroquip's 15.163 series, catalog number C1AK70 if you need to cross-reference it anywhere.
