got a -06 hose and need to go into 1/2-14 male pipe threads. is this the right straight crimp fitting for that?

fitting says no mandrel required and no thread sealant needed -- just want to make sure I'm reading that right before I order a batch of these

You're reading it correctly on both counts. The 3903/7903 swage fitting goes on without a mandrel, which keeps installation pretty straightforward. And the 1/2-14 Male NPT end is designed to make a leak-tight connection without thread sealant, so you won't need to mess with tape or paste on that end. Just make sure your crimp tooling is set up for the -06 hose size and the 903 Series spec.
