Product Questions & Answers

what industries is this adapter actually rated for? trying to figure out if it'll work for our processing setup
Question by: Lee C on Jun 19, 2025, 8:01 PM
Food and beverage processing is one of the listed applications for this adapter, along with chemical processing, pulp and paper, marine and military use, and offshore drilling. If your setup falls into any of those categories, you're in the right ballpark. It's a steel unit with a Code 61 split flange on one end and a 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, swept 90 degree elbow configuration.

trying to swap out a fitting on a hose run, is this one the 1 inch code 61 split flange to 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 flare, 90 elbow?
Question by: Larry A on Mar 13, 2026, 9:21 AM
Match it up by the ends and the bend. It has a 1.00 inch Code 61 split flange on one side and a 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, built as a 90 degree sweep elbow.

This fitting looks pretty beefy. Is it OK for continuous-duty hydraulic systems, or is it more for intermittent use?
Question by: Terry C on Oct 11, 2025, 7:43 AM
This Eaton adapter is engineered for high-pressure applications, including those found in demanding environments such as marine, military, chemical processing, and offshore drilling, so continuous duty shouldn't be a problem.

got a 1-inch code 61 split flange port on a hydraulic manifold and need to swing out to a JIC male fitting at a 90 degree angle. this the right adapter for that?
Question by: Kent R on Jun 7, 2025, 6:26 PM
For a 1-inch Code 61 split flange to 1-5/16-12 Male JIC 37 degree flare connection at a 90 degree elbow, yes, that is exactly what this adapter is built for. The sweep 90 design gives you a clean directional change without needing extra fittings in line. The JIC end uses a 37 degree flare seat, so your mating fitting needs to match that angle. No thread sealant is required on either end during installation.
