Got a braze port setup on a marine hydraulic line and need to know if this adapter'll work for connecting to a -8 JIC fitting. the port size is half inch. that right?

got a line with a 1/2 inch braze port, will this adapter get me over to a -8 JIC male without any funny business

For a straight connection, it bridges a 0.50 inch braze port on one side to a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, which is the standard thread for a -8 JIC male.
