got a stick of 1-1/4 tube here, is this the right sleeve for it or am i mixin things up?

For tube size, it matches a 1.25 inch tube OD. It is a Female JIC 37 degree flare sleeve, so it is meant to be used in that JIC 37 degree flare style connection.

Part number J20S, is that the sleeve only or does it come with the nut too?

Just the sleeve on this one. The J20S is the flare sleeve component sized for 1-1/4 inch tube OD, meant to pair with a JIC 37 degree flare connection. You would need to source the flare nut separately if you don't already have one on hand.
