What size hose does this clamp work with? I've got some that are just under 2 inches on the inside.

It'll fit hoses with an inner diameter from 1-7/8 to 2 inches, and an outer diameter between 2.28 and 2.59 inches.

got a 2-inch ID hose on my boat and been fighting with worm gear clamps for years, would this t-bolt style actually hold better?

T-bolt clamps do provide greater clamping tension than worm gear clamps, and they do it with less installation torque. For a 2-inch ID hose, this one fits right in that range. The 3/4-inch wide band also helps spread the load evenly across the hose, which cuts down on the kind of creep and loosening you get with worm gear designs over time.
