this sleeve, is it specifically made to go with the 2807-4 hose, or can it work with other hose sizes too?

Paired directly with the 2807-4 hose, this sleeve is part of the Eaton Aeroquip 900568 series crimp fitting lineup. It's sized and rated to work with that specific hose designation, so mixing it with a different hose size isn't something you'd want to do. Stick with the 2807-4 and you're in the right ballpark.
