trying to hook up an ORB port to a JIC hose end. is this the right adapter if my port is 1-1/16-12 and the hose side is 9/16-18?

For that thread combo, yes. One end is a 1-1/16-12 male SAE O-ring boss (straight thread O-ring) and the other end is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare, and it is a straight adapter.
