got a hose end with a 3/4-16 JIC flare, is this the elbow that’ll mate up to it and still seal on an ORB port?

For a 3/4-16 JIC 37 degree flare connection on one side and a 3/4-16 SAE O-Ring Boss straight thread port on the other, this adapter matches that setup. It is a 90 degree elbow, so it turns the line while transitioning between JIC flare and ORB.

Does the ORB side thread on this thing match up with a 3/4-16 straight thread port, or is that a different spec than what I'm thinking of?

Both ends on this adapter run 3/4-16 threads. The SAE O-Ring Boss side is a straight thread connection, so it seals against the port face with an O-ring rather than relying on a tapered thread for the seal. That's the standard 3/4-16 ORB spec, and it'll fit a 3/4 ORB port just fine.
