trying to swap out an old fitting, is this the one that goes from 1/2-14 male npt to 3/4-16 male JIC flare?
Question by: Randy R on Mar 11, 2026, 4:20 PM
Match it up by the thread callouts. One end is 1/2-14 male NPT, and the other end is 3/4-16 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. It is a straight adapter, so it does not add an angle.

got a 1/2 NPT male port on a hydraulic block and need to run a JIC line off it -- will this adapter do the job straight off the shelf?
Question by: Danny C on May 20, 2025, 9:30 PM
For that exact connection, yes. One end threads into your 1/2-14 NPT port, and the other end gives you a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare seat to mate your JIC fitting or hose end directly to. No additional adapters needed in between. Being stainless steel, it holds up well in environments where carbon steel would start giving you rust trouble over time.

Just makin' sure, this adapter fits a 1/2 NPT to a 3/4 JIC, right? Don't wanna order the wrong thing again.

That's correct. This stainless steel adapter is designed to connect a 1/2-14 Male NPT to a 3/4-16 Male JIC 37-degree flare.
