got a port that’s 1/2-14 npt, will this screw right in and give me a jic flare on the other end?

It matches a 1/2-14 male NPT on one side and a 7/16-20 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other. It is a straight adapter meant to transition from NPT pipe thread to a JIC 37 degree flare connection.
