Got a tight spot on a hydraulic line where I can't run things straight through, will this fitting let me bridge an NPT port over to a JIC hose end and make that 90-degree turn all in one piece?
Question by: Ricky H on Dec 7, 2025, 6:52 PM
That's exactly what this adapter is built for. One end is a 1-11½ Male NPT thread and the other is a 1-5/16-12 Male JIC 37-degree flare, and the whole thing is configured as a 90-degree elbow. So yeah, you're converting thread types and changing direction in a single fitting. Overall it measures 1.81 by 1.97 inches, so it's compact enough to work in tighter installs where a straight adapter just won't route cleanly.

trying to swap out an elbow on a line, is this the one that goes from 1-11 1/2 male NPT over to 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 flare?

On the ends, it matches that combo: one side is 1-11-1/2 male NPT and the other is 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare, built as a 90 degree elbow adapter.

Will this fitting hold up okay outside? I'm using it on some equipment that sits out in the weather year-round.

This adapter is made from 316 stainless steel, so it's quite corrosion resistant and should hold up well in demanding environments.
