Got a tight spot on a hydraulic line where a straight fitting just ain't gonna cut it, would this 45-degree elbow adapter work for rerouting around an obstacle if one side is NPT and the other's JIC?

For exactly that kind of situation, a 45-degree elbow is the right call. One end of this adapter is a 3/8-18 male NPT thread and the other is a 3/4-16 male JIC 37-degree flare, so if your system has those two thread types meeting at an awkward angle, this fitting lets you change direction without stressing the line or cramming a straight adapter where it doesn't belong. The 316 stainless steel construction holds up well in industrial hydraulic environments too.

got a tight spot on a hydraulic line, is this the 45 elbow that goes from 3/8-18 male NPT over to 3/4-16 male JIC?

For a 45 degree turn, it connects a 3/8-18 male NPT thread on one end to a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other. It is a pipe to flare adapter in 316 stainless steel.
