Got a line running 1/8 NPT male on one end and need to hook into a 7/16-20 JIC fitting at a 45-degree angle, this piece gonna work for that?
Question by: Shawn H on Nov 9, 2025, 8:12 PM
That's what this fitting is built for. One end is 1/8-18 Male NPT, the other is 7/16-20 Male JIC with a 37-degree flare seat, and the body is bent at 45 degrees so you get that angled transition without having to force a straight adapter into a tight routing situation. Stainless steel construction throughout, made by SSP Fittings Corp under part number J4-4ME-45.

trying to replace an elbow fitting i pulled off, is this one 1/8-18 male npt on one end and 7/16-20 male jic flare on the other?

Thread-wise, it matches that combo: one side is 1/8-18 male NPT (pipe thread) and the other is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare seat. It is a 45 degree elbow adapter, so both ends are male and the body changes direction.

Will this fitting hold up okay in an oily environment, like around a hydraulic pump?

Designed for industrial applications, this stainless steel adapter should perform well in oily conditions typical of hydraulic systems.
