Got a busted union in a stainless line and need a straight male-to-male JIC fitting to splice it back together. This the right part for that?
Question by: Hugh W on Jun 1, 2025, 11:18 AM
Yeah, that's exactly what this fitting is built for. Both ends are 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 degree flare, so it gives you a male union in a straight configuration. SSP Fittings Corp makes it, and the overall length comes in at 1.41 inches with a tube OD of 0.38 inches. If your line runs 3/8 inch tube and uses standard JIC 37 degree flare connections, this one fits the bill.

Is this adapter gonna fit right with my 9/16-18 setup? Just wanna make sure before I order.

This straight adapter is designed to connect two 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 deg Flare connections directly, making it a union for that specific size and flare type.

got a 9/16-18 JIC line on both ends, is this the straight union that’ll hook them together?

For joining two same size JIC 37 degree flare ends, this adapter is a straight male to male union with 9/16-18 threads on both sides.
