Got a piece of European-built equipment with a BSPP port on it and need to tie it into a JIC line on my hydraulic system. This the right adapter for that?
Question by: Todd Y on Dec 21, 2025, 7:49 PM
That's the situation this adapter is built for. One end is 9/16-18 Male JIC with a 37 degree flare, and the other is 1/4-19 Male BSPP. Both are male threads, so you'd need female ports on both sides of whatever you're connecting. Stainless steel construction means it'll hold up well in corrosive or demanding environments too.

Will this adapter work to connect a JIC flared fitting to a BSPP port?
Question by: Merle F on Mar 18, 2026, 2:24 PM
It sure will. This stainless steel adapter is made to connect a 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flared fitting to a 1/4-19 male BSPP (British Standard Parallel Pipe) port.

got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 JIC flare and the port on my block is 1/4-19 BSPP. is this the right straight adapter to tie those together

It bridges two different thread standards by giving you a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on one side and a 1/4-19 male BSPP (British Parallel) on the other, in a straight body.
