What exactly is the setup on this tee, does the run stay female NPT on both ends, or is one side male?

The run ports are both 3/8-18 female NPT, and the branch coming off the side is 3/8-18 male NPT. So if you're tapping into an existing line and need a male branch sticking out for a gauge port or a secondary line, this is the configuration you want. All three thread sizes are the same 3/8-18, which keeps things straightforward when you're putting it together.
