trying to figure out if this'll work for my setup, got a 3/8 tube running to a female NPT port on a manifold. does the JIC end on this fit that size tube?

For 3/8 inch OD tubing, you're in good shape. The male JIC 37 degree flare end on this adapter is sized for exactly that, 0.38 inch tube OD. The NPT side is 1/4-18, so as long as your manifold port matches that thread, the whole thing should connect right up without any adapters in between.
