what's the overall length on this hex coupling? trying to figure out if it'll fit in a tight spot on a manifold block without sticking out too far

At 1.13 inches long, it's a pretty compact fitting. That short profile makes it easier to work into confined hydraulic connections layouts where a longer coupling would cause clearance problems.

got two lines that are both 1/4-18 female NPT. is this the right little coupling to tie em together

For joining two male 1/4-18 NPT threaded ends, this is the right style. It is a straight stainless hex coupling with 1/4-18 female NPT threads on both sides.
