got a busted hex coupling in a stainless line and need a straight female-to-female NPT connection to splice it back together -- this a 1/2 inch on both ends?
Question by: Denise O on Apr 23, 2025, 4:44 PM
Both ends are 1/2-14 female NPT, so yeah, you're looking at a true hex coupling that connects two female NPT fittings straight through. No reducers, no offsets. If your existing line is 1/2-14 NPT on both sides, this one drops right in.

Trying to tie two 1/2 inch NPT male pipes together, is this the right coupling?

For joining two male pipe ends, this adapter gives you female NPT threads on both sides, 1/2-14 on each end, in a straight hex coupling style.

got a 1/2 inch female NPT on both ends of a pipe section i need to bridge together, will this coupling handle that straight shot connection?
Question by: Gary G on Aug 9, 2025, 9:20 AM
That's what this fitting is built for. Both ends are 1/2-14 female NPT, so it threads right onto male NPT pipe ends on each side and pulls them into a straight inline connection. No reducers or adapters needed in between.
