So, this clamp fits hoses that are actually 1 inch to 1 1/8 inch on the inside, but the outside diameter can be bigger, like up to 1 3/4 inch? Just want to make sure I'm reading that right.

clamp says it works on 1 to 1-1/8 inch hose ID, but what's the actual OD range it'll fit over? My hose walls are a little thicker than standard.

The OD range on this clamp runs from 1.00 to 1.75 inches, so it covers a pretty wide spread. That 7/8-inch adjustment range gives you room to work with hoses that have thicker walls without having to hunt down a different clamp size.
