got a 1-1/2 camlock setup already, will this dust cap swap in with other brands or is it picky

Built to A-A-59326 (which replaced Mil-C-27487F) and DIN 2828, it is meant to interchange with other cam and groove fittings made to those same standards in the 1-1/2 inch size.

Will this cap fit any standard cam lock fitting of the same size?

It will. This cap is made to the A-A-59326 standard (which used to be Mil-C-27487F) as well as DIN 2828, so it's interchangeable with any other cam and groove fitting made to those specs. Just make sure they're both 1 1/2 inch.
