got a straight BSPP bushing that goes from 1 inch down to 1/2 inch, is that what this one does?

For stepping down between BSPP sizes, it pairs a male G 1 - 11 on one side with a female G 1/2 - 14 on the other, so it adapts a 1 inch BSPP connection to a 1/2 inch BSPP connection in a straight bushing.

What size threads does this thing have? I see somethin' about G 1 - 11 and G 1/2 - 14. Are those the sizes?

That's right. This bushing has a male G 1 - 11 thread on one side, which is the 1" size, and a female G 1/2 - 14 thread on the other, which is the 1/2" size. This lets you adapt between different component sizes in your hydraulic setup.
