Got a piece of equipment with a 3/8 BSPP port and I need to tie it into a 1/2 NPT line, this fitting handle that crossover?

That's exactly what it's built for. One end is a 3/8" male BSPP (G 3/8-19) and the other is a 1/2" male NPTF (1/2-14 NPTF), so it bridges that thread standard gap in a straight shot. The 316 stainless construction holds up well in environments where a standard carbon steel fitting would corrode out on you, and at 40.8mm long with a 22mm wrench flat, it fits into tighter assemblies without a lot of fuss.

got a pump with a G 3/8-19 port and the hose end i’ve got is 1/2-14 NPTF. is this the right little adapter to tie those together?

For that mix of threads, yes. One end is a 3/8 inch male BSPP (G 3/8-19) and the other end is a 1/2 inch male NPTF (1/2-14), so it is meant to bridge those two standards in a straight adapter.
