So this fitting is stainless steel, right? I need something that won't rust out on me.

Constructed from 316 stainless, it offers very good corrosion resistance. That should hold up well for you.

got a piece of equipment that runs BSPP fittings but the port i'm connecting to on this end is NPT, will this adapter sort that out?

That's what it's built for. One end is a 1/4" male BSPP (G 1/4 - 19) and the other is a 1/4" female NPT (1/4 - 18 NPTF), so it bridges those two thread standards in a straight configuration. Both sides are the same 1/4" size, so you're not stepping up or down on the port diameter either.
