got a 3 inch rod on a cylinder that needs a new wiper, this the right size?

For a 3.00 inch rod diameter, this is the correct fit. The wiper OD comes in at 3.50 inches with a 1/4 inch base thickness, so it seats properly in the standard groove configuration for that rod size. Urethane construction handles a wide temperature range too, down to -65°F and up to 220°F, so it holds up through most working conditions you'd throw at it.

Fit-wise, ST-300 is sized for a 3.00 inch rod diameter and a 3.50 inch wiper outside diameter, with a 1/4 inch base thickness.

Urethane wiper rings in the ST style are made to fit a 3-inch rod diameter. These are built to spec, so as long as your rod is a true 3 inches, it should be a good fit.
