Product Questions & Answers

got a return line setup on a skid steer, is this filter meant for that kind of job?
Question by: Rick B on Sep 18, 2025, 9:25 AM
For low pressure return line filtration, this SSF120/160 spin-on assembly is a good match for mobile and industrial equipment. It is rated 60 GPM, uses a 10 micron nominal paper element, and the head is built for up to 200 PSI on the housing.

Filter says it comes with a 15 PSI bypass spring, but I also seen mention of a 25 PSI being standard, which one does it actually ship with?
Question by: Earl W on Jan 1, 2026, 3:30 PM
The complete assembly includes an optional bypass spring, and the default when ordering the full assembly is a 25 PSI spring. The product you're looking at here is specifically configured with a 15 PSI bypass spring, so that's what you're getting with this particular part number. If you need the higher 25 PSI spring, that would be a different configuration.

reckon this filter will hold up okay in a hydraulic system running at, say, 180 PSI?
Question by: Curt P on Apr 27, 2025, 9:26 PM
The filter housing is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 PSI, so it should be suitable for your system at 180 PSI.
