got a metric tube fitting on one side of my setup and a JIC line on the other, will this adapter bridge those two without needing extra pieces in between?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a 7/16-20 UNF male JIC and the other is an M12 x 1.5 male DIN tube connection, so it crosses those two standards in a single straight adapter. No extra couplings needed in between. Just make sure your tube side is sized for L06 and you're good to go.
