fitting's got a 1" JIC on one end and I got a 1" BSPP port on my equipment, that thread callout on the BSPP side, is it a straight thread or tapered?

BSPP runs parallel, not tapered. That's what the "P" at the end stands for, and the G 1 - 11 callout on this fitting confirms it's a straight parallel thread. If your equipment port is also BSPP, you're working with the right connection type. The swivel feature on that female end also gives you a little rotational freedom during installation, which helps a lot when you're trying to avoid twisting a hose or line during makeup.

trying to match up fittings here, is this one a 1 inch JIC male to a 1 inch BSPP female swivel?

On the JIC side you are getting a 1 inch male with a 1-5/16 - 12 UN thread callout, and the other end is a 1 inch female BSPP swivel with a G 1 - 11 callout.
