Product Questions & Answers

trying to swap an old elbow out, is this one the 1 inch JIC male to 1 inch BSPP male setup?
Question by: Cheryl M on Feb 17, 2026, 10:24 AM
It is a male JIC on one end and a male BSPP on the other, both in 1 inch size. The thread callouts are 1-5/16 - 12 UN on the JIC side and G 1 - 11 on the BSPP side.

If I'm needing to adjust the angle of some hydraulic lines in a tight spot, reckon this elbow would do the trick?

Designed with adaptability in mind, this 90-degree adjustable elbow features widths of 33mm and 41mm, making it suitable for setups with limited space.

Thread on side one shows 1-5/16 - 12 UN, but the product says male JIC. Those the same thing, or am I missing something?
Question by: Dwayne R on Jun 6, 2025, 12:13 PM
JIC fittings use a 37-degree flare seat and the thread spec on this one is 1-5/16-12 UN, which is the standard thread callout for a 1-inch male JIC. So yes, those go hand in hand. The UN callout is just the thread form designation, and when you pair it with the JIC seat geometry, that's what makes it a male JIC end. The other side is a male BSPP with a G 1-11 thread callout, which is the British Standard Parallel Pipe form at 1 inch. Both ends are 1-inch size, so if your equipment uses those two thread types at that size, this fitting connects them directly.
