Got a port on a hydraulic manifold I need to close off, would this plug work for a half-inch BSPP opening?

Yeah, that's exactly what this one's built for. The thread is G 1/2 - 14, which is your standard half-inch BSPP male thread, so it'll seat right into a female BSPP port and seal it off. At 24.2mm long with a 27mm hex, you've got enough to get a wrench on it without a lot of fuss.
