316 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance, so it should be more than suitable where standard carbon steel fittings might give you trouble.

got a pump port that’s 1 inch BSPP and my hose end is 1 inch NPTF. Is this the right adapter to tie those together?

Built for exactly that mix, it has a 1 inch Male BSPP (G 1-11) on one end and a 1 inch Male NPT (1-11.5 NPTF) on the other, so you can join those two thread standards in a straight, in-line connection.

Got a piece of equipment running BSPP ports and I need to tie it into a NPT system, this the right adapter to bridge that gap?

That's what this fitting is built for. One end is 1" Male BSPP (G 1-11) and the other is 1" Male NPT (1-11.5 NPTF), so it goes right between those two thread standards without any additional pieces. Both sides are the same nominal size, so you're not stepping up or down anywhere in the line. The straight configuration keeps everything in-line and compact, which usually makes routing a lot cleaner in tight spaces.
