got a piece of equipment here that runs BSPP fittings on the hydraulic block but the rest of the system is all NPT, will this adapter actually bridge those two thread standards without needing a bunch of extra parts?

That's what this one's built for. One end is G 1/8-28 BSPP, the other is 1/8-27 NPT, so it goes straight between those two thread types in a single fitting. Both sides are 1/8" which keeps the transition clean with no reduction in port size. At 28.3mm long and 14mm wrench width, it stays compact enough to work in tighter spots on a hydraulic block without fighting for clearance.
