Will this adapter work with standard hydraulic fittings? I want to make sure it's compatible with what I already have.

trying to hook a 1/2 jic hose end over to a 3/8 bspp port, is this the right adapter?

For that hookup, it matches what you described: one side is a 1/2 inch male JIC with 3/4-16 UNF threads, and the other side is a 3/8 inch male BSPP with G 3/8-19 threads, and it comes with an O-ring on the BSPP end.
