got a branch line that keeps binding up during assembly cause theres no room to swing a wrench, would the swivel on the female port actually help with that kind of situation?

That swivel on the female branch port is exactly what helps in that spot. It lets you rotate the connected line into position without having to torque the whole fitting, which takes a lot of the fight out of routing in cramped spaces. The two inline male DIN ports stay fixed, so your run line stays put while the branch adjusts. If binding during assembly is the main headache, this fitting addresses it directly.

What size wrench do I need for tightening this tee fitting up?

You'll need a 24mm wrench for one side and a 30mm wrench for the other.
