For washdown and wet environments, 316 stainless is genuinely one of the better choices you can make at the fitting level. Carbon steel would corrode out fast in those conditions, but 316 holds up against moisture, cleaning agents, and most of the aggressive media you'd run into on a washdown line. The S08 tube size and M16 x 1.5 thread need to match what you've already got in the assembly, so confirm those before ordering, but the material itself is well suited for what you're describing.
