got a metric DIN tube end on a hydraulic line and need to tie into a 1/4" NPT port at a right angle, this fitting do that?

Right angle from an M18 x 1.5 male DIN tube end to a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread is exactly what this one does. The 90 degree elbow lets you make that transition without having to reroute your line or force a straight adapter into a tight spot. got a hose end with M18 x 1.5 DIN on it and my port is 1/4-18 NPTF. is this the right elbow to tie those together?

For a right angle adapter between those two thread styles, it matches up as M18 x 1.5 male DIN tube end on one side (L12 series) and 1/4-18 male NPTF on the other side.
