got a hose end with M22 x 1.5 DIN on it, will this adapter get me over to a 1/2 - 14 NPTF male port?

For tying dissimilar ends together, it adapts an M22 x 1.5 DIN tube connection on Side 1 (size L15) to a 1/2 inch 14 NPTF male thread on Side 2.

fitting's made of stainless steel -- does that hold up when there's moisture or chemicals around, or is that more of a marketing thing?
