Both sides are M12 x 1.5 DIN tube threads, male on each end, just want to make sure I'm reading that right before I order a handful of these.

You're reading it correctly. Both sides carry the same M12 x 1.5 DIN tube thread, and both are male. That symmetrical male-to-male configuration is the whole point of a union like this, it lets you join two components that already have female DIN thread ports without needing an adapter in between.

i’ve got a DIN tube setup with M12 x 1.5 on both ends. is this union the straight male to male piece for that?
