Both ends got R 1/2 - 14 BSPT threading on this thing, right? Just want to make sure before I go swapping out the old nipple on my hydraulic line.

Correct on both counts. Each end carries R 1/2 - 14 male BSPT threading, so you're looking at a true matched hex nipple rather than a reducing or adapter style fitting. Both ends are BSPT male with an R 1/2 - 14 callout, so it is a straight male-to-male nipple in that same thread size on each side.
