That's what it's built for. One end is 3/4" Male JIC with a 1-1/16-12 UN thread, and the other is 3/4" Male BSPP running a G 3/4-14 thread. So when you've got a system mixing those two standards, this fitting connects them without needing a stack of adapters in between.
