What size ports does this check valve have?

The main ports are 1/2" and the pilot port is SAE-4.

what kind of pilot pressure do i need to unlock this thing on a single acting cylinder?

For single acting cylinders, the unlocking pilot pressure works out to 25% of the locked pressure. So if you've got 1000 PSI holding a load, you'd need around 250 PSI in the pilot circuit to open it up. Keep in mind a 4-way control valve is required in the circuit even for single acting setups. That's not optional. The pilot port on this valve is SAE-4 size, so make sure your pilot line connection matches up before you start hydraulic connections it in.
