Product Questions & Answers

running a hydrostatic transmission setup and need something that can hold up at 6000 psi continuous -- this hose rated for that or is it more of a peak pressure rating?
Question by: Shane H on Jan 29, 2026, 8:15 AM
Six-spiral wire construction at 1.5 inch ID is built specifically for high-pressure hydraulic and hydrostatic transmission work, and the 6000 PSI figure on this hose is the maximum operating pressure. That puts it squarely in the right range for demanding hydrostatic drive systems where pressure stays elevated for long stretches. Just keep in mind the temperature ceiling on the -24 size tops out at 212 degrees F, so if your system runs hot you'll want to account for that when routing and specifying.

Got a hydrostatic transmission running at 5800 PSI pretty regular, this hose rated to handle that kind of pressure day in and day out?
Question by: Troy T on Jun 14, 2025, 11:10 AM
Six thousand PSI is the rated maximum operating pressure for this hose, so 5800 PSI puts you well within its working range. The six spiral wire construction is specifically what makes it suited for high-pressure hydraulic and hydrostatic transmission service. It's not a braided hose pushed past its limits, the spiral wire configuration is built for exactly this kind of sustained, high-demand use.

What's the bend radius on this hose, if you don't mind me askin'?
Question by: Rick Y on Jun 21, 2025, 9:19 PM
The minimum bend radius for this hose is 20 inches. You'll want to keep that in mind during installation to avoid kinking or damage.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 23, 2025, 9:19 AM
got a tight spot to snake this through, how tight can you bend that -24 hose without kinking it
Question by: Travis H on Oct 24, 2025, 2:34 PM
Bend radius is 20 inches on this hose, so you want your routing to stay at or above a 20 inch bend to avoid kinks and premature wear.
