Product Questions & Answers

got a -6 line on a piece of equipment, is this the right hose size or am i thinkin of something else
Question by: Rick B on Dec 5, 2025, 1:23 PM
For dash size, this one is a -6 hose with a 0.38 inch inside diameter. If your current hose is marked -6, the ID matches what you are replacing.

what's the pressure rating on this hose and is it consistent across all sizes, or does the -6 drop off compared to the bigger ones?
Question by: Billy B on Jul 29, 2025, 1:49 PM
For the -6 dash size, you're looking at a 3000 PSI maximum operating pressure. That rating holds for this specific hose. Worth knowing that the -6 uses a single wire braid reinforcement, while the larger sizes like -10, -12, and -16 step up to double wire braid. The pressure spec you see here applies to this dash size as purchased.

got a tight spot to snake a hose through, how tight can i bend this -6 line without kinking it?
Question by: Hugh F on Sep 13, 2025, 8:17 PM
For a -6 (0.38 inch ID) FC639-06 hose, the minimum bend radius is 2.5 inches. Staying at or above that radius is the safe limit given for the hose.
