Does this column come with a dust seal already on it, or is that something I'd have to add separate?

The dust seal comes included as part of the column assembly. It sits in place to keep dirt and moisture from getting into the bearing area, which matters a lot when the equipment's running in rough or wet conditions. Nothing extra to source or install on that front.
